A pomodoro timer for your body

Your pomodoro breaks are making you tired.

Five minutes of scrolling turns into forty, and you come back curled up like a shrimp. Shrimpodoro locks your next pomodoro until you squat: 10 by default, or pick 5 or 20. About a minute. Less tired, better mood.

One email on launch day. Nothing else.

Sound familiar?

This is you after 3 pomodoros.

Your brain gets work done. Your body curls up. Scrolling doesn’t fix either.

1 squat = 1 meter

Questions

Before you ask

What is Shrimpodoro?

Shrimpodoro is a pomodoro timer for iPhone. After each focus session, the next pomodoro stays locked until you do a set of squats (5, 10 or 20). Your iPhone's front camera counts the squats on-device. Finished rounds drop pink tomatoes into a pile; skipped rounds drop black ones.

What if I can’t squat right now?

Skip it. That round becomes a black tomato, and your next pomodoro starts.

Is my camera recording me?

No. Squats are counted on your phone and the video never leaves it.

Can I change the length or the number of squats?

Yes. Tap the timer to set any length from 5 to 120 minutes (25 by default), and pick 5, 10 or 20 squats per break.

Is it free?

Yes. The free version gives you 2 pomodoros a day and all 38 landmark badges. Shrimpodoro Pro adds unlimited pomodoros and week, month and year stats: $3.99/month, $19.99/year with a 3-day free trial, or $29.99 once for lifetime.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up. Your pomodoros and squats are stored on your iPhone.

Does it work on iPad, Mac or Android?

It's iPhone-only at launch (iOS 17 or later), with a Dynamic Island and Lock Screen timer. A Mac version is planned.

When can I get it?

iPhone first. Join the waitlist and you’ll get one email on launch day.
